The consortium brings together partners from Europe and Africa, including Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), R-Evolution Worldwide, Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Makerere University (Uganda), and the Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (DR Congo), combining expertise in infectious diseases, nutrition, and clinical research.

The project has been submitted to the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking programme, which supports international research collaborations to fight infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa.
